To get a better idea, think of Columbia House CD's or a credit card company. You find a site that is giving away a free ipod or whatever (some even pay cash into your paypal account which I will show you in this article) but in order to get the incentive you have to refer 5 or 10 friends to sign up with the credit card company promo or Columbia House promo as well. The website gets paid say for example $30 everytime they refer somebody, you refer 5 people and you get your free gift. The website makes $150 and gives you a ipod that costs them $50, the credit card company or Columbia House gets 5 new customers and you got a ipod (I perfer the cash incentives) everyone wins.
The catch is it's kinda difficult to get 5 of your friends and convince to sign up for the promotion just so you can get a ipod. Ok so how do you make money from this?
Well there is a network of forums that deal with people who buy, sell, or trade referrals and I will give you a few that I've used personally. The gist of it is that you sign up (some of them are free) to some of these forums and you will see someone that is willing to PAY you $20-$30 to be their referral, or they will be a referral for you if you be a referral for them.
Here's how I do it. I find a site that offers $600 straight into my paypal account if I refer 7 people to complete their promos. I put an ad in the forum offering to pay 7 people $25 each if they go to the website using my link that has my referral ID and complete the promos. Once they all go 'Green' which means they have been credited as completing the offer I get $600 into my paypal account and I pay $25 each to the 7 people into their paypal accounts. So $600 minus $175 I bank $425 and I've done this in 24 hours.
Why would companies do this? because it works. Companies are spending millions of dollars in this sort of advertising because they are getting new customers.
You can make money by using this system but I don’t thing you will get rich. It's more like a work at home type job, because you do have to work at it, its not hard work but its work none the less.
Now the bad thing about this is you have to remember some of these promos you sign up for are free or charge small promo fee but after your free trial you get billed the next month. So you have to keep track of those and cancel before you get charged a monthly fee.
Now how good is this system? In three months I made $7000 into my PayPal plus another $2000 in prizes. I'd work 4 hours one day maybe 2 the next so it wasn’t really hard. The hard part is waiting to referrals to go green because some promos take a day or two credit. I like to tell my referrals to do the ones that are free and give you 'instant' credit so there is no waiting. Some promos may cost $1-$2 so take that into account when completing promos.
